  • New research sheds some surprising light on the state’s opioid crisis. “The heroin epidemic really dates back to 2010, 2011,” said Dr. Ann Gadomski, head of the Bassett Research Institute in Cooperstown, which conducted opioid research in collaboration with the Colgate University Upstate Institute in Hamilton.

  • John Levisay '89 of Craftsy
    Since 2011, John Levisay ’89 has been crafting the perfect online learning experience with his start-up called Craftsy, which offers classes ranging from quilting to jewelry making to photography. On May 11, it was announced that NBCUniversal is acquiring majority ownership of Craftsy. Levisay will continue in a leadership role, reporting to NBCU Cable’s president of strategy and commercial growth.
