Research Interests Low temperature geochemistry, clay petrology and mineralogy, acid rain, lake acidification and forest decline, aluminum biogeochemistry, Critical Zone science. Research areas include the Smoky, Sierra Nevada, Cascade, White and Adirondack Mountains of the US; Germany; Sweden; Norway; Canada; and Australia.
