Off-Campus Study

Immersing in new cultures and perspectives through off-campus study is a significant growth experience for many students. Covered by financial aid, Colgate’s varied programs are within reach for all students.

 

 

Please note that Study Group and Approved Program applications for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 closed in February and are no longer being considered.  We look forward to seeing you in the fall when we advertise the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 programs.

Passport Processing Update
As of February 26, 2024, routine passport processing takes 6-8 weeks from the time the application is received; expedited processing ($60 extra) takes 2-3 weeks.

Knowing that all students are unique in their interests, goals, and backgrounds, Colgate offers a variety of off-campus study opportunities. From full semester programs or extended studies of just a few weeks led by Colgate faculty in specific subject areas, to more than one hundred approved programs through partner institutions, there is plenty of flexibility for students to find an opportunity of interest.

Open Sessions

Start by attending one of our OCS General Info Sessions, offered at the beginning of the semester. Check out the schedule below under Upcoming Off-Campus Study Events or on the Colgate Events Calendar.  Stop by our office in 101 McGregory Hall for open drop-in advising Monday through Thursday between 1:15 and 2 pm. No appointment necessary!

Schedule a meeting with a peer advisor to learn basic information about options and processes, or to answer quick questions. 

Students with specific or in-depth questions should make an individual advising appointment with one of our staff advisors.
