Center for Learning, Teaching, and Research

The center is dedicated to enhancing learning and teaching in support of the liberal arts. It serves as a campus-wide clearinghouse for information and consultation about the development of academic skills and competencies that support high achievement.

One of the center's top priorities is helping students see connections between their own learning and academic priorities and ways to improve their effectiveness by tapping into the knowledge and resources available. Faculty and staff are critical in helping students make that connection and in providing a pathway to continual improvements in the way they learn, teach, and conduct research.

Once that connection is made, students will be able to utilize resources such as:

• Academic advising, including general and individual advising services
• Instruction in learning strategies and study skills
• Assistance with time management and organization  
• Peer tutoring
• Study skills
