Shannon is the Program Assistant for the
Shaw Wellness Institute here at Colgate University. She graduated with a Masters in Public Health with a concentration in Health Promotion and Behavior. She is passionate about changing unhealthy behaviors to healthy behaviors that are sustainable.
Shannon has been a runner for many years, and became interested in personal training after realizing the importance of combining weight training with cardio workouts. She became certified by AFAA in the spring of 2012. After taking multiple group fitness classes based off of circuit training, weight training, and kickboxing, she has discovered many fun, challenging, and effective ways to get a great workout.
By making workouts interesting and fun, setting realistic goals, and encouraging her clients, Shannon is excited to be training at Colgate.
