Visit Options

REGISTERRegistrations are encouraged but not required for information sessions and campus tours. Explore some additional visit options below, or plan a trip at a time most convenient for you.

Please note that the online scheduler will be unavailable on April 26 & 27.
Saturdays

(February 15, March 1, 8, 29, April 5, 12, 19, 26)*

Start your Saturday morning with a panel led by an admission officer and featuring a faculty member and current student. Next, student-led campus tours will give you an inside look into student life at Colgate. Registration begins at 9:30 and reservations are required.

*Our campus will be observing mid-term recess on March 15 and March 22. However, The Office of Admission will offer an information session and campus tour beginning at 10 a.m.

Informational Interviews

Non-evaluative informational interviews with a senior admission fellow or an admission officer allow you to learn more about Colgate in a one-on-one setting. This is not a formal assessment that affects the outcome of an application to Colgate; we want to hear about your interests, goals, and answer your questions about academics and student life.

Interviews are available Monday through Friday, from May of a student’s junior year through December of a student's senior year. Contact our office at (315) 228-7401 or e-mail admission@colgate.edu at least three weeks in advance to ensure availability.

Class Visits

Join first-year and sophomore students in one of our core curriculum classes or another course of your choosing. A list of classes is available in the Office of Admission at registration.

Alumni Interviews

If you are unable to visit our campus, we invite you to arrange an informational interview with a member of our alumni community. These informational conversations are available in many areas from September through January of a student’s senior year. E-mail admission@colgate.edu or call (315) 228-7401 for more information.

Overnight Visits

Explore campus for a day and night with a current student. An overnight visit gives you the chance to experience life on the Hill — attend a class, participate in extracurricular activities, eat in a dining hall, and meet with faculty.

Overnight visits are offered to high school seniors and prospective transfer students on Sundays and Thursdays, from mid-September to mid-November and from February to early March. Please contact the admission office at (315) 228-7401 at least 10 days in advance to make arrangements.
