Dear, Colgate Community.
Just a quick note to pass along a few Colgate Digest items — and a reminder. The Commitment to Community Health still applies on the weekend. Please refamiliarize yourself with the language that clearly sets forth our expectations for this semester. As we have mentioned, the majority of students are doing a commendable job of adhering to the commitment. Thank you. As we have also said, a small number not adhering to the commitment can trigger a chain of transmission on campus.
Enjoy the remainder of the weekend. Safely.

Vice President of Communications
Take Note
Colgate is distinctively beautiful, but it doesn’t stay that way by itself. We’re sending out a note of thanks to our groundskeepers, who work so hard to ensure that the University continues to be one of the most picturesque campuses in the country. Be sure to help them out by disposing of your trash as you enjoy outdoor dining this semester.
This evening at 5 p.m., the Chartwells food truck will be out and about on both upper and lower campus. Dining services will be handing out pre-packaged sweet treats to students — an expression of appreciation for keeping your Commitment to Community Health, wearing masks, and maintaining physical distance.
A Closing Thought
Notice the good in the world, the helpers. It is important to counterbalance the heavy information we see every day with the hopeful information. And while you’re at it — participate. Find ways, big and small, to give back to others. Helping others gives us a sense of agency when things seem out of control.
