Clubs and Organizations

Our students support an extremely active
club culture, with student-run organizations
for just about every possible interest. If you
still can’t find something that suits you, then
you can start your own club!

Fraternities and Sororities

Our fraternities and sororities have a proud tradition dating back to 1856, when our first fraternity was chartered. Many students choose to join a fraternity or sorority when they become eligible during their sophomore year, though a majority of students do not affiliate.

Student Government

The Student Government Association (SGA) — made up of elected student representatives from each class — governs your student groups and represents their interests to the larger Colgate community and administration. The Budget Allocations Committee (BAC) is the arm of the SGA responsible for distributing funding to student organizations and events across campus.

University Support

Several professionally staffed organizations offer our student groups support and guidance, as well as opportunities to collaborate with other organizations across campus. See all student clubs and organizations at Get Involved.
