About Philosophy If you've ever considered the questions above, we invite you to join us in the philosophy department. We offer majors in both philosophy and philosophy and religion. You can also pursue a minor in philosophy. With more than a dozen faculty and over 100 student majors, we have traditionally been one of the strongest disciplines at Colgate. Because of our size, we are able to offer a wide range of courses that cover the whole breadth of our discipline and its historical roots.
