About Biology

If you're interested in biology, consider pursuing one of the following majors:
  • Biology
  • Environmental biology
  • Molecular biology
  • Natural sciences with a concentration in marine science - freshwater science
Our faculty have expertise in diverse areas, including cell and molecular biology, organismal and evolutionary biology, terrestrial and aquatic ecology, plant and animal physiology, and animal behavior.

We have been very successful in attracting generous outside funding for innovative curricular projects, as well as major equipment for teaching and research.

Our faculty are also very active researchers, and frequently engage students in investigative laboratories or field projects. This is an integral part of the science education we provide.
