Student founders who are participating in the TIA incubator can apply for a seed grant. Seed grants provide startup capital to validate a solution with real constituents. Over $20,000 has been awarded to date. Seed grants can be used for purposes like testing a pilot, facilitating user interviews, and funding a first production run.
Extraordinary Colgate startups are admitted into the Entrepreneurs Fund Summer Accelerator, where they spend the summer in residence in Hamilton, N.Y., aided by a cash award and intense mentoring by seasoned alumni entrepreneurs. More than $500,000 has been awarded since the program's inception.
