Student entrepreneurs have access to various types of funding at different stages of their entrepreneurial journey. These funds enable our entrepreneurs to accelerate growth while learning financial discipline and effective resource allocation.

Seed Grants

Student founders who are participating in the TIA incubator can apply for a seed grant. Seed grants provide startup capital to validate a solution with real constituents. Over $20,000 has been awarded to date. Seed grants can be used for purposes like testing a pilot, facilitating user interviews, and funding a first production run.

Entrepreneurs Fund Summer Accelerator

Extraordinary Colgate startups are admitted into the Entrepreneurs Fund Summer Accelerator, where they spend the summer in residence in Hamilton, N.Y., aided by a cash award and intense mentoring by seasoned alumni entrepreneurs. More than $500,000 has been awarded since the program's inception.

Summer Funding

Colgate Career Services administers a competitive grant process for students who intend to pursue low-paid and unpaid summer opportunities. This program has the potential to support experiences for students who wish to spend the summer immersed in an entrepreneurial endeavor or interning at a startup.
