As your time in high school comes to a close and your summer begins we have a few things on your incoming student checklist to complete over the next few weeks.
Pre-Orientation - Due June 4
Reserve a spot in Wilderness Adventure or another pre-orientation program by completing the registration form. Learn more about the optional and required programs by visiting the pre-orientation webpage.
Language Background - Due June 15
Colgate offers a wide range of language courses that you can take depending on your previous experience. Providing a more detailed description of your language background will help us explain the various ways you can fulfill the Core Liberal Arts Practice in Language Study. Upon completion of this form, you may also be prompted to complete a placement exam.

Patient Portal - Due June 15
Students are required to activate their account with Student Health Services. You will receive an activation letter with instructions through your Colgate email.

Religious Preference - Due June 15
The Office of the Chaplains provides the Colgate community with a dynamic, friendly, and supportive place in which to seek answers to life’s biggest questions. You may choose to share your religious preferences so that the office can better meet your needs. This information will not appear in any directory or other location accessible to the larger University community or to the public.
Housing Preference Form - Due June 15
Our Office of Residential Life has prepared this move-in guide to help you plan ahead for your arrival. You can view your housing preference form status below. Students who need housing adjustments may submit their application through the Colgate Housing portal.
Vaccination and Medical Forms - Now Available
Colgate University requires all new students to complete and submit health information before the start of the semester. This information is necessary to comply with University and New York state requirements and helps us direct your health care during your time at Colgate. You can find the forms and instructions for filling them out on the Student Health Services website.
Fall Course Registration - Coming Soon!
You will receive an email from the Office of the Registrar on Wednesday, June 14, with directions on how to submit your Colgate Academic Preferences and Experiences (CAPE) form and information regarding the fall course schedule process.
