Summer is here, and we hope that you're getting excited and preparing for your transition to college life and responsibilities. If you have questions, please reach out to us at newstudents@colgate.edu. There's a lot to do as we head into July - so please check your email at least weekly to avoid missing important information.

Your checklist is updated regularly, so take a moment to make sure you have completed the required steps and are looking ahead to the next due dates for pre-matriculation training, summer reading response, submission of your ID photo, and more.

June 28 - Academics
For first-year students, today is the due date for submission or revision to the Colgate Academic Preferences and Experiences (CAPE) form that will inform your fall courses. You'll also want to check that you've completed the language background form and associated tests (also due today).

July 1 - Health Forms
All students are required to complete health history information and proof of immunization no later than July 1, 2023. Details are available on the Student Health Services website. Please note that you are only required to have Tb testing if the questionnaire indicates that it is required. If you have not already done so, please activate your myColgateHealth Patient Portal (confidential medical portal) account using your Colgate email address. Please see your email for a message from our health team.

For those of you arriving early, Student Health Services has summer hours Monday through Friday, 9 a.m to 4 p.m., and is available by appointment by calling 315-228-7750. Non-urgent questions can be sent via email to studenthealth@colgate.edu or through the confidential medical portal.

We strongly recommend that you receive all required vaccines before you arrive at Colgate; however, if this is not possible, you will need to receive your immunizations (at cost) at Student Health Services. For international students, arrangements will be made through the OISS orientation.

Getting Ready for Your New Home

Office of Residential Life staff members are currently reviewing your housing preference form. In late July, you'll learn about your housing placement, roommates, and your Residential Commons.

We look forward to welcoming you to campus soon!
