The Class of 2020 commencement ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, May 17, 2020. Since Colgate is some distance from major hotels, the University offers on-campus housing for guests of graduating seniors from Friday, May 15 through Sunday, May 17 at 8 p.m. Families of each senior may reserve up to six (6) beds in campus residence halls. Single, double, triple, and suite-style rooms are available at a rate of $45.00 per person, per night. Bed linens and towels are included, although we do recommend bringing blankets and pillows for your own comfort.
Requests for room assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to be timely in your response. Due to limited space on campus, preferences for particular halls, facilities, and types of rooms are not guaranteed. Accommodations for guests with special needs can be made, although those spaces are also limited. Please be sure to list any specific requirements in your reservation form that might influence your placement.
Starting Monday, February 3, reservations can be made by visiting: colgate.edu/commencementhousing or by calling the Office of Residential Life at (315) 228-7367. Reservations and payment in full must be received no later than Friday, April 24, 2020. For a full refund, cancellation requests must be made prior to Wednesday, April 29, 2020.
Keys may be picked up by either the family or graduating senior on Friday May 15, between 8:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. or on Saturday, May 16, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Our office is open Sunday, May 17 from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. to allow families to return keys. Please make appropriate arrangements to pick up and return keys during these times. There is a $150.00 lock change fee for any key not returned to the Office of Residential Life by 9 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2020.
Please feel free to contact our office with any questions by calling (315) 228-7367 or by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
