Every year, we look for as many as 100 community-minded writers working in a variety of genres and forms who are interested in taking their work to the next level. We welcome diversity in all its forms. Admission is competitive. Decisions are made by a committee, on the basis of each applicant’s promise as well as achievement. Notifications go out on a rolling basis. A deposit of 50% is required to secure a spot in a desired workshop.
- A limited number of spots have been set aside for retreaters. To apply, follow the same link above and simply check the appropriate box. You will not have to submit a writing sample.
- If you were admitted to the 2020 Colgate Writers Conference before it had to be canceled on account of the coronavirus pandemic, that acceptance still holds. Simply check the appropriate box on the application form and let us know your workshop preference(s).
