The University has received numerous offers of hand-made fabric masks for use by students. Anyone wishing to make a gift of masks can leave them in the mailbox outside Campus Safety, at 88 Hamilton Street.
These masks will be laundered and distributed as appropriate. Cloth masks do appear to decrease the overall transmission of respiratory infections by preventing the release of droplets into the air. Please do not deposit other items in the box at Campus Safety. Any offers of medical-grade protective gear should be sent to covid19@colgate.edu.
