Student Arrival on Campus

As Colgate looks forward to a fall 2021 semester that more closely resembles previous academic years, the arrival process will include practices and guidelines designed to protect the health and safety of all.

Arrival Guidelines

  • Face coverings are required for all employees, students, and guests on Arrival Day, Sunday, Aug. 22 — indoors and outdoors, when physical distancing is not possible.
  • To the greatest extent possible, we ask that students limit the number of family members or friends traveling to help with move-in.
  • Colgate is recommending that all faculty, staff, and students wear a mask while in public spaces indoors and for activities with close contact with others, regardless of vaccination status

These guidelines will help ensure the health and safety of everyone within the Colgate community during the move-in process.

For more information about moving in, including luggage tags and a full schedule of Arrival Day events, see the Arrival Day homepage.
