Outlines the process for installing the Global Protect VPN software and connecting to the University network with both personal and Colgate Windows computers.

Background

Access to certain resources on Colgate’s network requires being connected to that network, even when in remote (off-campus) locations. This is done by using a VPN, which will connect a machine to Colgate’s network regardless of physical location.

Requirements

  • A valid Colgate username and password
  • Internet connection

Procedure

Note this can be used by students, faculty, and staff for personal computers, and for Colgate issued Windows computers.

Download the client for this VPN at https://remoteaccess.colgate.edu.
