Memorial Chapel was dedicated in 1918 by Mary Colgate in memory of her father, James B. Colgate. It is used for University Church and Newman Community services, as well as many lectures and concerts. It also houses Colgate's Holtkamp pipe organ. Downstairs, the Chapel Garden Level is home to the Office of the Chaplains, the Muslim Student Association, a religious library, a comfortable study space, musical practice rooms, and Judd Chapel, which is used for smaller religious services.

The Saperstein Jewish Center (SJC) was dedicated in April 1993 and is the home for Jewish living at Colgate. It provides separate kosher meat and dairy kitchens, a Judaica library, lounge and study space (with campus network connections and two on-site computer workstations), and a multi-purpose worship space for weekly Shabbat, Festival, and Days of Awe (Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur) services. The SJC also hosts lectures and other social and cultural events.

Chapel House is a center for the study of the world’s great religions. Chapel House welcomes members of the Colgate community to use the facilities for religious study, prayer, meditation, or worship. Guests are especially welcome at the chapel, the music room, and the library, all of which are open daily. Residential guests may be welcomed for a several-day visit for the purpose of meditation and study. Further information may be obtained from Chapel House.
