About sophomore living
All sophomores are housed on campus, and each residence is overseen by an assistant director and student resident advisers who serve as mentors and resources.

Room and roommate assignments
Here are a few key points about room selection for your sophomore year:

  • Students make their own roommate arrangements.
  • Room selection is based on a random lottery system during the spring of your first year (applications for interest housing must be submitted earlier).
  • The availability of rooms and suites varies by residence hall, so preferences cannot be guaranteed
  • Sophomores may choose to apply for two interest housing options: Wellness Living (see Cutten Complex), and the Harlem Renaissance Center (HRC, see Bryan Complex).
  • There also are resources available for those who require special accommodations.
