Description: Join the fourth largest chapter in the nation to fight America’s number one killer.  The Utica office sponsors America’s Greatest Heart Run and Walk each Spring drawing over 8,000 participants. 

Be a part of this powerful experience and help to education about health issues. Colgate's chapter of AHA provides ways for students and members of the Colgate community to gain awareness about the health of their own hearts and ways to maintain that healthiness.

Volunteers meet weekly to plan approximately four large events every year.  In the past these have included 'Gate Guts, Big Men Fall Hard, Red Dress Day, and the famed Run and Walk.

Volunteers Say: "I have a lot of heart disease in my family and am at high risk myself. Working for AHA makes me have feel I am doing something about it. And meanwhile, I've also gained organizational and managerial skills too."
