Description: One of the COVE's most popular programs, the Elementary Foreign Language Program works with students grades K-3 at Hamilton Central School. Colgate volunteers who have a modest knowledge of French, Spanish, or German introduce language and culture to the kids through interactive and fun songs, games and activities approximately 1-2 hours per week.

Although some knowledge of the languages you are teaching is important, remember that even in the most elementary course at Colgate, you know how to teach the kids a thing or two!  Volunteers are encouraged to help after school even if they are unsure about their language-speaking abilities.
