The Colgate Buddhist Community is a student-run organization that has been on campus since 2003. They meet regularly for meditation and lunch discussions which focus on Buddhist thought and how busy college students can integrate the teachings into their lives. The CBC makes a number of visits during the academic year to monasteries, conferences, and retreat centers in the upstate New York area.

Members of the Colgate community took part in a Dana, an act of giving or making an offering to the Sangha, the monastic order of ordained Buddhist monks or nuns.
