Public Labs On Campus

Public labs offer you a range of options from quickly checking your e-mail to working on a research paper or using specialty software not available on your personal computer.

Saving your files

Use caution when saving work in a public lab.  Any files saved on the hard drive of the computer are erased when you log off.  Use a USB flash drive, Network File Storage, email documents to yourself, or upload to Google Docs to ensure your work is saved.

Logging Off

Be sure to log out of all accounts when you are finished in a public lab.  Also make sure you have logged off the computer when finished.
