The Requirements
Everyone is required to verify that their personal computer will meet established Colgate criteria prior to connecting to our network. Established criteria are simple:
Up-to-date operating system.
Virus protection.
This is how our remote registration process works:
You will follow the instructions on the registration page (which you will see when you click Go! below) to download and install an agent on your PC or Mac. Click the appropriate button to first install the agent, then continue the registration process.

Your Network Username and Password
You will be prompted for your network credentials in order to continue. Therefore, you must already have an active account.
If you know your username and password, please enter them on the registration page, then click the download button.
If you do not know your username and password, please contact the ITS Help Desk in person on the third floor of Case-Geyer, by e-mail to: itshelp@colgate.edu, or by phone at 315-228-7111, option 3. You will not be permitted to continue the registration process without your username and password.
Once you have entered your network credentials, you will be prompted to download and run an agent. This agent does a scan test, to confirm your computer has all operating system updates and up-to-date virus protection. The process will take approximately one to two minutes. Do not interrupt this process while it is running.
If your computer does not meet the minimum requirements
If your computer fails the scan test, you will be required to update your operating system, install virus protection software, or both. Then you will need to begin the process again to run another scan.
If your computer passes the scan test, it will be registered for use on the Colgate network.
If you have a computer with Microsoft Windows and wish to begin the registration process, Click Go!
If you have a Mac and wish to begin the process, Click Go!
