Phone bills are delivered to employees by e-mail once a month. Charges for long distance calls are based on your long distance access code, and all charges are paid by your department.
When you receive your bill, it is your responsibility to review the charges and determine whether or not they are legitimate business calls. If you are charged for personal calls, the Accounting Department requests you remit those costs to them within 10 days of receipt of the bill.
If you find calls which you do not recall making, please report them to the Colgate Helpline. Someone from Telecommunications will get back to you for further discussion and investigation.

Voicemail can be set up for all employees. For a new voicemail box, or to change an existing one, please contact the ITS Helpline (by phone at 228-7111, or by e-mail to Helpline) and make your request.
You can optionally set up e-mail notifications of voicemail
by accessing http://voicemail.colgate.edu. Here’s how:
Login with your network credentials, then click on Cisco Unity Assistant. Click on Notification Devices, and drop down to View Notification Devices. Put a check mark in the box next to Email, and add your e-mail address in the “Notifies” column. Click Save.
While you will not be able to actually hear your messages within e-mail, you will receive an e-mail notification message each time you receive a new voicemail message.
To check voicemail from your Cisco phone, press the “messages” button. Unity connection will ask you to enter your PIN. Then follow the prompts.
To check your voicemail from another phone, call 228-7840. Press *, then enter your extension when Unity Connection asks for your ID. Enter your PIN at the prompt.

You can set up a simple audioconference with two other parties just by using the “Conf” button on your Cisco phone. Establish the call to the first party, and explain that you are going to conference in another party. Press the “Conf” softkey at the bottom of your screen (you may first have to press the “More” softkey to get to “Conf”) then establish the second call. Press “Conf” again to join the two calls together.
If you expect multiple audioconference attendees, you may want to use a conference bridge. The vendor who supplies our conferencing system is InfiniteConferencing. In advance of the time your conference call is scheduled, you will want to go to our portal with Infinite to sign up for your account (there is no charge until you actually use the service). Access the portal at www.InfiniteConferencing.com/colgate to sign up.
You will also need a corporate card to pay for audioconferencing through Infinite. If you don’t already have one, you can apply for one through the Accounting Office.
