Counseling Center
Located in Conant House

Conant HouseThe Counseling Center supports the mission of Colgate University and the Office of the Dean of the College, encouraging the intellectual, emotional, and social development of students, working to cultivate a genuine sense of meaning and purpose in their lives.

We focus especially on helping students to ameliorate problems that might be obstacles to this growth and development by providing the highest quality clinical services as well as consultation, prevention, training, and psycho-education.

We are committed to supporting diversity and treating all members of the Colgate community with respect, recognizing a special duty to those of under-represented and historically marginalized groups.

Diversity Statement

The Counseling Center is committed to promoting and affirming diversity.  We acknowledge the negative impact of all forms of discrimination, including but not limited to those based on age, country of origin, ethnicity, gender, physical and mental ability, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status.  We strive to support students so they can thrive and succeed while at Colgate.

In addition, we work toward improving the culture and climate to affirm diversity.  We seek to develop a space where difference is recognized and valued.  As a staff, we are committed to fostering multicultural competency, examining our personal assumptions regarding diversity and how they impact our interactions with others.
