Dedicated to supporting our lesbian, gay, bisexual transgender, queer and questioning students by enhancing diversity and visibility throughout the greater campus community. The office serves as direct support for individuals, as an agent for LGBTQ and its supportive programming, and as a network for LGBTQ faculty, staff, students and alumni, including their respective support groups. lgbtq@colgate.edu Advocates A student group devoted to educating themselves and others on queer issues with hopes of creating support and a more gay-friendly campus. This organization is equivalent to a gay-straight alliance and helps organize events like National Coming Out Day and Big Gay Weekend. advocates@colgate.edu Lambda A confidential social/support group for LGBTQ students. The group provides a social outlet, a place for members to meet others like themselves, and an avenue for members to organize around relevant political issues and events. lambda@colgate.edu LGBTQ Library Collections LGBTQ Studies, Women's Studies and LGBTQ Initiatives contributes to a Special Collection housed in the Colgate University Libraries database.
