AlANA welcomes all student groups, faculty, and staff to engage in programming both social and educational events. It's a place for students to study, learn, socialize, and grow. For many students the Cultural Center becomes that essential home away from home.

• Black Student Union (BSU) promotes awareness and preserves the cultural, political, international and educational identity of black students. The alliance also unites and organizes the black community in service and in brotherhood and sisterhood.

• African Student Union (ASU) is a group in which Colgate students may come together to discuss current issues in Africa. It also presents an opportunity for the greater Colgate community to interact to learn more about Africa.

• Asian Awareness Coalition (AAC) seeks to promote greater awareness and understanding of Asian cultures and Asian-American experiences. Open to anyone interested in Asian cultures. The AAC sponsors lectures, films, workshops, cultural and social events.

• Brothers works to educate and promote awareness about current social issues affecting the men of color in the United States, at Colgate University and on other college campuses.

• Caribbean Students Association (CSA) strives to represent the variety of social, political and cultural aspects of life in the Caribbean and to avail the campus community of the learning experience produced by such representation.

•Chinese Interest Association (CIA) provides members of the campus community who have a common interest in Chinese culture and the opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences with one another.

• Colgate International Community (CIC) is an organization on campus specifically focused on international issues. The group seeks to celebrate a wide array of cultures and nations from around the world, through food, music and discussion. It is an integral part in the formation of community among both foreign and domestic students.

• Japan Club is the primary Japanese-interest group at Colgate. It holds biweekly "coffee hours" and sponsor events semi-regularly, oftentimes collaborating with other clubs and groups.

• Korean American Student Association helps the community learn about and share Korean heritage. They hosts a variety of events both educational and entertaining.

• Latin American Student Organization (LASO) works to create a sense of community for those people who identify or interest themselves with the Latino culture, whether by birth, heritage or choice. It also promotes awareness and greater exposure to aspects of Latino cultures within the campus community.

• Native American Student Association (NASA) promotes awareness of Native American and contemporary issues and exposes the campus community to the traditional and political trends of Native communities.

• Poetically Minded is an organization founded in February 2008 by students dedicated to sharing and spreading the power of the spoken word and artistic expression through Colgate and the surrounding community. Our library is located in the ALANA Cultural Center, our home and supporter, in making art accessible to the entire community.

• Sisters of the Round Table (SORT) provides a space for women of color to come together and voice their concerns, hear feedback, and foster community. The group also creates activities and programs to promote awareness about issues that affect women locally and globally.

• South Asian Cultural Club (SACC) celebrates and spreads awareness of South Asian culture throughout Colgate and the Hamilton community. They host a number of extremely popular campus events including Bangra night and their annual banquet.
