Colgate Research Council, a committee of faculty and administrators, awards faculty leaves and grants. The proposal deadline for Major Grants, Picker Research Fellowships, and Senior and Associate Faculty Leaves is in January. The Research Council considers applications for discretionary grants and student wage grants throughout the year.
Council for Faculty Development supports projects designed to strengthen pedagogical skills or to extend the range of the faculty's teaching and advising capabilities. The council awards major grants and discretionary grants. Proposal deadlines are in October and March.
