AAA Membership Options & AAA Business Travel Card

The Purchasing office has been working with AAA Western and Central New York office to set up better travel support, improve travel services and reduce university travel expenditures.

We are pleased to announce that AAA is now offering two programs to Colgate University travelers. Both programs offer Colgate travelers access to AAA preferred accommodation rates at various AAA participating hotels and Inns throughout the US.

Below is a quick summary of the benefits of each plan. See attachment for detailed description. Contact the Purchasing Office ext. 7474 if further information is needed.

1. AAA “New” Membership Discount:
   
   • AAA Membership Plan
   • AAA will waive the member initiation fee of $15.00 for any new member.
   • Membership options include AAA Premier, Plus and Basic.
   • Allows full access to AAA rates/ discounts at any AAA participating hotels.
   • Includes emergency road service privileges.
   • New members enrollment period ends 9/30/09.
   • New members must enroll through the Ithaca Business Travel Center.


2. The AAA Business Travel Card:
• Non AAA membership plan
• This card is provided at no cost, for a non-AAA member.
• Allows full access to AAA rates/ discounts at any AAA participating hotels.
• Does not include Emergency road service privileges.
• Enrollment is through AAA Business Development.
