Commencement Accessibility and Handicap Parking Skip Navigation

Accessibility

The Colgate University graduating class of 2014 meet with family and friends, and pose for photographs on the academic quad.

Parking/Drop-off

Handicapped parking is located in the Alumni Lot for chapel events, the Library Lot for the torchlight ceremony, and near Reid Athletic Center for the commencement ceremony. If you need special drop-off arrangements, please see a campus safety officer for assistance. Please view the commencement weekend parking map for more details. For safety reasons, we ask that there are no drop-offs on Broad Street (NY State Hwy 12B).

If you wish to become familiar with the commencement rain location, please view the Sanford Field House seating map.

Additional Viewing Facilities (No Ticket Required)

A live web-cast of the commencement ceremony will be available at The Class of 1965 Arena, whether the ceremony is indoors or outside. The 1965 Arena is wheelchair accessible. The live webcast can be viewed on smartphones, tablets, or computers and will be hosted on Colgate’s home page (Colgate.edu) during the ceremony, and later then archived at www.colgate.edu/commencement. This room will be open at 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 20.

Wheelchair Availability

A list of wheelchair rental companies is available. Pick up and drop off of wheelchairs should be arranged directly with the rental company. We will have a wheelchair available that can be used for transportation to seats.
