High-Profile Speakers Entrepreneur Weekend

Colgate brings interesting speakers to campus throughout the year. Facebook executive Sheryl Sandberg spoke at the university's second annual Entrepreneur Weekend on April 5. The following weekend, former Mexico president Felipe Calderon will speak as part of the Global Leaders Lecture Series, and on April 24 Ron Paul will be on campus.

Colgate Hosts Premiere of Chinese Sound Art
Revolutions per Minute (RPM) was the world-premiere survey exhibition of Chinese sound art that featured works of more than 30 artists. The exhibition included four days of events including live audio-visual performances, a show at the Ho Tung Visualization Lab, a discussion panel, and workshops. It was co-curated by Wenhua Shi, assistant professor of art and art history at Colgate. 

Problem Solving Academic Interactions

Students collaborate on solving equations for a class at Ho Science Center. Outside of class students are sometimes asked to co-author academic papers with faculty members that are presented at conferences. A rigorous academic experience is at the core of what Colgate does.
