Biography
Over the course of about 20 years working in higher education, I have coordinated several major events, mentored hundreds of students, dined with dignitaries, and managed an array of campus facilities, and welcomed at least 16 new classes to college. Prior to coming to Colgate in 2001, I was the Director of Student Activities for several years at Hamilton College, just down the road.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in English from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and a Master of Education degree from the University of South Carolina. My professional interests include enrollment management, women's athletics, leadership, and student media and I have presented numerous programs on the Millennial Generation and their transition to college.
I work hard and I do not like to be bored. I have zero tolerance for whiners, laziness, excuses, or rudeness. I admire initiative, vision, passion, integrity, kindness, zest, the unconventional, and the underdog. I love cheddar cheese, Bruce Springsteen, fried Ipswich clams, and ice hockey. I am at peace with the world when walking Good Harbor Beach in my hometown of Gloucester, MA or riding my bike on the carriage trails in Acadia National Park in Maine. I also enjoy a lazy kayak trip down the Saranac River with my friends up north and appreciate the rolling hills of upstate New York for cycling and the many challenging golf courses.

Growing up on the western shores of Lake Superior in Duluth, he has a lifelong connection to water and the impact it has on daily life. Corey is also the first of his family to have attended and graduated from college. He is particularly interested in the transition from high school to college for first-generation college students.

Biography
BS Business Administration Management from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with a side concentration in Behavioral Sciences. Go Huskies! MBA from Heidelberg College. Go Student Princes! (That’s right, I said “Student Princes”)
Prior professional experiences include Academic Advising, Student Activities Residential Life and Orientation. Before coming to Colgate, I was Director of Residential Life at Heidelberg College in Ohio followed by Director of Housing and Residential Life at West Liberty State College in West Virginia. I began at Colgate in 2004 as Assistant Dean of the College for Residential Education, and my position was created to assist Colgate in implementation of the Residential Education Vision, with special emphasis on the Broad Street Initiative and student governance. In 2006, Director of Residential Life was also added to my job responsibilities. The most enjoyable part of my job is working with an amazing staff and the students who help make our residential efforts successful. They make everything interesting and fun, and I cannot imagine a better blessing than getting to work with people who make me laugh every single day.
My professional interests include student leadership development and trends in housing. I also enjoy reading and learning about business and higher education managerial strategies and philosophies. Personally, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, walking my dogs and working around my house.
