GLOW (Gay Lesbian or Whatever)
Is a social/support group for queer or questioning students on campus. The purpose of this group is to allow a safe space for individuals to meet others navigating specifc challenges on campus pertaining to being a person of color and LGBTQ at Colgate. Contact the office for more information.
Athlete Group
If you are an athlete and would like to meet with other athletes to discuss what it is like being "out" or questioning your identity....this group is for you. This group is confidential and will allow you to explore your experiences with other athletes that are feeling similar things. For more information about dates and times contact the LGBTQ office.
Greek Group
This group will meet to discuss what it is like coming out or questioning your sexual identity or gender identity with your brothers and sisters. The information shared in the group will remain confidential. For more information about dates and times contact the LGBTQ office.
Online Chat
The online chat group will be held Tuesdays at 10 p.m. Follow the directions to log into the Blackboard site. Feel free to use your regular Colgate user name. If you would like to remain anonymous use a user name listed.
Lambda
A group of students who are members of the LGBTQ community. It is a confidential support and social group for students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or who are simply questioning their current identity. Whether out or in the closet, students are welcome to join and can be assured that their identity will be kept confidential. Advocates
This is Colgate's queer-straight student alliance. Their primary goal is supporting LGBTQ students and initiatives on campus. All students are welcome to join. If you are interested please contact Rae Reynes or Michelle Nolan. You can also check out the Advocates website .
LGBTQ Alumni Network
If you are a Colgate alum who would like to receive information about joining our LGBTQ Alumni Network, please e-mail eblake@mail.colgate.edu and ask us to add you to our mailing list. We are currently 200+ alumni strong and always welcome new members. We are also currently one of 64 alumni associations listed on the National LGBT Alumni Association organized through Princeton University's LGBT Alumni. You can check out the website . Once on the website, click on events for current events and links for the listing of college alumni associations.
