The mission of the Center for the Study of Freedom and Western Civilization is to promote intellectual diversity by presenting a "conservative voice" on campus and a genuine exchange of ideas.

The center supports a variety of activities that will generate public discussion and scholarly research into the principles that underlie the Western tradition of freedom and civilization -- principles such as ordered liberty, constitutional government, free market policies, national security, traditional family values, the classical heritage of Greek philosophy and high culture, and the Biblical faiths of Judaism and Christianity.

Above all, the center seeks to foster a climate of civilized debate about the great issues of the past and the present that will be of interest to the entire community.
