Center Resources Wellness Library The Wellness Institute Library
is a central feature of the wellness lounge area. The various materials may be checked out by any student or employee with a valid Colgate ID. The library has over 250 books, CDs, DVDs, pamphlets and other media related to the eight wellness dimensions. We even have biofeedback software that plays like a game for you to use.
Topics include anxiety, depression, occupational wellness, stress management, sleep hygiene, alcohol and other drugs, nutrition, body image, eating disorders, relationships, self-esteem, sexual health, meditation, mindfulness, and spirituality. Active Minds Active Minds
is the only organization working to utilize the student voice to change the conversation about mental health on college campuses. By developing and supporting chapters of a student-run mental health awareness, education, and advocacy group on campuses, the organization works to increase students’ awareness of mental health issues, provide information and resources regarding mental health and mental illness, encourage students to seek help as soon as it is needed, and serve as liaison between students and the mental health community. While most schools maintain a student health services program, many of these programs have limited resources which translates to limited student understanding of how to maintain good health.
