Give for ‘Gate Campaign

Did you know?: Tuition only covers about 2/3 of the costs to attend Colgate? Give for ‘Gate recognizes the point in the semester where your tuition money ‘runs out’ and gifts from alumni and parents start to fund students' Colgate experiences.

Without the support of the Colgate community, many of your favorite Colgate opportunities would not be available. To make your Colgate experience possible, alumni, parents, grandparents, friends and students provide more than $30 million dollars worth of gifts to Colgate each year! Help us celebrate the Give for ‘Gate Campaign this year from April 4th to 7th by stopping at one of the events on the schedule below, sponsored by the Presidents’ Club Student Committee. Go ‘Gate!
 
You will also have the chance to honor the thousands of alumni and parents who have made your experience special by making your own gift to Colgate during our Give for ‘Gate Campaign. A gift of just $13 will make you a member of the Presidents’ Club! This membership will allow you to take part in exciting events both on and off campus throughout the year.

Special Announcement!

At each event there will be food provided, and you will have the opportunity to enter a raffle for the chance to win one of five gift cards. Don’t miss your chance!

Seniors will also have a chance to pick up their Torch Medals at the events on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday!

Monday, April 4

12:00 – 1:15 pm. Cupcakes in the Coop (Coop)
Learn about the Presidents’ Club and the importance of giving back while trying Erica Pais ‘17’s cupcakes from Baking Connections! Great way to support a fellow Colgate Student while also learning about the great Presidents’ Club benefits!

Tuesday, April 5

5:00 to 7:00 pm. Thank-a-Thon (Coop TV Room)
Help celebrate the Give for ‘Gate Campaign by thanking our alumni and parents for their gifts to the university. Stop by the Coop TV Room from 5:00 – 7:00 PM to write a few thank you cards and get dinner provided by the Royal Indian Grill! Quantities are limited, so first come first serve!

Wednesday, April 6

4:30 to 5:25 pm. PC Interval Insanity (Huntington 303)
Come take part in an AWESOME Interval Insanity fitness class ran by Nicole von Olnhausen. Get fit, give back, and join the Presidents’ Club!

Thursday, April 7

11:00a.m.-1:00p.m. Thank-a-Thon (Coop TV Room)
Help finish off the Give for ‘Gate Campaign by taking part in our second Thank-a-Thon of the week! Come by the Coop TV Room from 11:00AM – 1:00PM and send some personal thank you notes to parents and alumni who help fund your Colgate experience! Flour & Salt bagels will also be available. Quantities limited, so come while they last!

Friday, April 8th

5:00 – 6:30p.m. E-Weekend Panel (Cotterell Court)
6:30 – 8:00p.m. Networking Reception (Backstage Cotterell Court)*
*Exclusive to Student PC Members.
As a student member of the Presidents’ Club, you will be cordially invited to a networking reception with E-Weekend Panelists and Alumni Council members! This will take place backstage, where heavy hors d’ouvres and cocktails will be served. You must be registered for the Panel Conversation in order to attend the Networking Reception.
