Class visits allow students to experience the Colgate classroom first-hand. During the academic year, you may elect to observe a class in a specific subject, or join some of Colgate's first-year and sophomore students in one of our core curriculum classes. Colgate's core curriculum has been universally recognized as one of the best general education programs in the country. A list of classes open for observation is available in the Office of Admission; please inquire upon your arrival.

Informational interviews allow students to learn more about Colgate in a one-on-one setting. Informational interviews are non-evaluative in the sense that there is no formal assessment which affects the outcome of an application to Colgate. You will discuss your interests and goals, and your match with a Colgate education.

Interviews are available from May of a student’s junior year through December of senior year. Contact the Office of Admission at (315) 228-7401 or email admission@colgate.edu at least three weeks in advance to ensure availability.

Alumni interviews are available in many areas. These informational conversations are available from September through January of a student's senior year. Please contact the Office of Admission at (315) 228-7401 for more information.

Overnight visits with a current student host may include attending a class, participating in activities, eating in the dining hall, and meeting with faculty. High school seniors and prospective transfer students may stay Sundays through Thursdays from mid-September to mid-November and from February to early March. Please contact the Office of Admission at (315) 228-7401 at least two weeks in advance.

Visiting groups are welcome to visit our campus. See information and our visit request form
