How to Apply for Aid as a Current Student

U.S. and Canadian students receiving financial aid must reapply annually in order to continue to be considered for assistance.  U.S. and Canadian students who have not previously received financial aid are welcome to apply as well.

All forms and applications are due by April 1.  Applications must be complete in order to be reviewed.

There are different application procedures to be followed based upon a student's citizenship:

United States citizens and eligible noncitizens

 Canadian citizens

 International (Non-Canadian) citizens

In order to conserve financial and natural resources, the Office of Financial Aid no longer issues paper award letters for returning students.  Notification of financial aid decisions will be sent to students' Colgate e-mail accounts.

Awards will be determined beginning in May, with applications being processed in the order in which they become complete.  Please contact the Office of Financial Aid if you have any questions.
