Allegorical Athena

The Allegorical Athena is the Women’s Studies annual literary magazine. Since 1996 the Allegorical Athena has published original gender-focused work from the Colgate community. Submissions include artwork, photography, literature, poetry, and prose with each work providing an unique perspective on the intersections of gender, sexuality, and other identities. Always interesting and often moving, the Allegorical Athena reflects a vast array of experience, critical analysis, and identity. The magazine showcases the talent of students, faculty, and staff and challenges its readers to reflect upon their own perceptions of society. Current and past editions of the Allegorical Athena are available in the Center for Women’s Studies.
