The Saperstein Jewish Center

"The Sap" was dedicated in April 1993 and renovated in 2009. It is a home away from home for Jewish students and provides a physical focus for Jewish life on campus.

The facility includes:

  • Two spacious kitchens where meat and dairy foods can be prepared separately, so traditional kosher meals can be shared
  • Classroom/study area with SMART board and wireless access
  • Lounge with plasma TV
  • Multipurpose synagogue space

The center's growing library numbers several hundred volumes and complements Case Library's Judaica holdings.

Student monitors are present to keep the facility open and in order. The center is open for public use at the following times:

- Sunday through Thursday from noon to midnight
- Fridays from 1 p.m. until the beginning of Shabbat
