Kaffeestunde
Stop by for a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate and some cookies/cake. As many of you know, Germans traditionally have "Kaffee and Kuchen" in the afternoon. Some of the time German faculty will also be there so you'll get a chance to talk to lots of different people. Depending on what you'd like to do we could also play games, talk about events that we could plan together, and so on. It's all up to you. Weekly on Wednesdays at 3:30 pm in the Max Kade Center.
Table of Babel
Here you have the chance to talk to others who are also interested in German. The Table of Babel brings professors and interested students together to discuss various topics in German while enjoying a delicious lunch at the Frank Dining Hall. It occurs weekly on Tuesdays 11:30 am - 1 pm at Frank Dining Hall.
If you do not have a meal plan, sign up and pick up a ticket for your Table of Babel free meal at 09D Lawrence Hall, Room 215A Lawrence Hall, or Room 219A Lawrence Hall at any time during the week. (Does not apply to faculty/staff – they receive their ticket at the front desk at Frank Dining Hall).
Deutscher Dienstag
German Film Series: We are screening recent German movies, almost all of which are with English subtitles. So even if you do not speak German or not yet very well you’re more than welcome to come! In the weeks where we do not screen movies, we have an 'open night' of games and/or talk. Come along, watch, and have fun and learn something about German culture! Every other Tuesday at 7:30 pm in the Max Kade Center in Lawrence Hall.
