Earth Corps 2010

An environmental education and service course run by the Rocky Mountain Field Institute in partnership with the University of Colorado.  It is a unique field-based course for the environmentally conscious student and outdoor adventurer.

Outward Bound

Outward Bound is a non-profit educational organization that serves people of all ages and backgrounds through active learning expeditions that inspire character development, self-discovery and service both in and out of the classroom.

Overland

The National Council for Science and the Environment's Campus to Careers Program
Positions range from field work to lab research and policy analysis and public outreach related to clean energy technologies, environmental services, sustainability, and conservation.

SCA Hudson Valley Internship

Boston University Geography and Environment
The Department of Geography and Environment offers graduate training emphasizing both theory and application. Research foci include both natural and social sciences, with emphasis on quantitative methods.

The Nicholas School at Duke University
The School is composed of three research divisions: Marine Science and Conservation, Earth and Ocean Sciences and Environmental Sciences and Policy.

Environmental Studies Programs at Other Universities

The Conservation Leadership Practicum at Monterey Institute of International Studies
The CLP is a unique two-week certificate course at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, running from January 11- 22, 2010. 
Graduates will to go on to manage and lead successful conservation projects with local and global organizations. 

Maine's Sustainability Solutions Initiative (SSI)
The SSI offers opportunities for cutting-edge interdisciplinary learning experiences at the graduate level, including up to 25 PhD fellowships at the University of Maine.

The Mabry lab at New Mexico State University
The Mabry lab will be accepting 2 students to pursue either PhD or MS work in behavioral ecology.

Rensselaer School of Architecture
Rensselaer offers a graduate professional program and a graduate research program with three concentration areas: architectural acoustics, built ecologies and lighting.

National Research Council of the National Academies Research Associateship Programs
Full-time associateships will be awarded in 2010 for research in the fields of chemistry; earth, atmospheric and space sciences; engineering, applied sciences and computer science; life and medical sciences; mathematics; and physics.  These opportunities are open to foreign nationals as well as U.S. citizens.

Windstar Environmental Studies Scholarship Program 2010
The Windstar Foundation is awarding two $500 scholarships for qualified undergraduates entering their junior or senior year of college, as well as one $1000 scholarship for graduate students entering their second year of graduate school.

MASDAR Institute in Abu Dhabi Scholarship for Graduate Study
The MASDAR Institute is a private, not-for-profit, independent, research-driven institute developed with the support and cooperation of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In fall 2010 it will offer PhD programs in science and engineering disciplines, with a focus on advanced energy and sustainable technologies.

Jacques Manonian Memorial Scholarship 2010-2011
Designed to assist student participation in the UM Wilderness and Civilization program.  Eligible students must be accepted into the Wilderness & Civilization for the 2010-2011 academic year.  Native American and Montana students preferred.
