Campus Ecology Group

The Campus Ecology Group serves as a clearinghouse for Colgate students, faculty, staff, and administrators interested in issues of campus sustainability and dedicated to minimizing the environmental impact of university operations. Through facilitating teamwork and collaboration amongst student organizations and the administration, the Campus Ecology Group effectively promotes greater environmental sustainability at Colgate.

The Group’s mission is to provide student leaders and interested individuals a forum to discuss all the things sustainable at Colgate (i.e. information sharing, strategic planning, brainstorming, etc.). Colgate’s Sustainability Coordinator facilitates a round table discussion where members can share ideas and become aware of what is happening around campus.

Ultimately, the Group serves as a resource for students and employees with a general interest in the campus’ green initiatives but are unsure of who to contact or how to get involved.
