Purpool: Employee Ride-Sharing
What is Purpool? Purpool is an online tool that makes it easy for Colgate's employees to organize their workplace-based carpools and to track your savings while making new friends and helping the environment.
Who can join Purpool? Colgate University is now part of the Purpool workplace-based ride-sharing network. Colgate employees can now register at www.purpool.com. When signed into Purpool you only interact with other Colgate employees.
How do I find other people to carpool with? Purpool allows you to search for other Colgate members who live in your area using a map interface as well as an alphabetical index. You can view their profiles and decide if you want to explore carpooling with them. Then one of you can create a pool and invite the others in order to get the ball rolling. You can also search and join existing pools in your area.
More info? You can contact Beth Parks at meparks@colgate.edu if you have any questions about Purpool at Colgate. For more general information about Purpool, check out the website.
