Most Colgate students participate in some kind of community service during their time here. Service is sometimes an extension of the classroom itself.
The university offers an incredible range of possibilities to students, from ecotourism projects in the Adirondacks, to performing children's plays in New York City, to working at the Moscow Salvation Army — and that's just scratching the surface.
Colgate's home for service, citizenship, and community building is the Center for Outreach, Volunteerism, and Education (the COVE).
