Pre-registration for weekday information sessions and campus tours is encouraged, although we welcome walk-ins. Please call the Office of Admission at (315) 228-7401. If you would like to meet with a faculty member or coach during your visit, please contact those individuals prior to your arrival on campus.

Informational interviews are available for those students who wish to learn more about Colgate in a one-on-one setting. Informational interviews are conducted by an admission officer or senior intern and are non-evaluative in the sense that there is no formal assessment which affects the outcome of an application to Colgate. Students are given the opportunity to discuss their interests and goals, and the match with a Colgate education. Interviews are available from May of a student’s junior year through December of their senior year. It is recommended that you contact the Office of Admission at (315) 228-7401 at least three weeks in advance to ensure availability.
If you are unable to visit Colgate, informational interviews conducted by alumni are available in many areas. Alumni interviews are available from May of a student’s junior year through January of their senior year. Overnight visits provide students with the opportunity to experience everyday life at Colgate by staying overnight with a current student host. Overnight visits during the week may include going to class, participating in activities, eating in the dining hall, meeting with faculty, and speaking with current students. Accommodations for an overnight visit can be made for seniors in high school, or prospective transfer students, Sunday through Thursday from mid-September to mid-November, and from February to early March. Please contact the Office of Admission at (315) 228-7401 at least two weeks in advance.
Visiting groups are welcome to our campus and admission-related information sessions and tours can be arranged. Groups of 15 or more should make special arrangements by completing the online registration form at least three weeks prior to the visit.
