As of June 30, 2009, the market value of Colgate's endowment investment portfolio was approximately $560.9 million.

The Investment Office is led by the director of investments, who oversees the university's endowment portfolio. This includes working with and monitoring existing managers, evaluating new investment opportunities, working with outside consultants and advisory firms and performance reporting.
In addition, the Investment Office works closely with the Treasurer's Office which is responsible for internal control functions related to the investment portfolio as well as overseeing and managing custodial, depository, legal, audit and other operating functions of the investment program.
