Academic Support and Disability Services
Office of Undergraduate Studies Summer Institute
Undergraduate Research

Established in 2005 under Colgate's Strategic Plan, the center is dedicated to enhancing learning and teaching in support of the liberal arts and serves as a campus-wide clearinghouse for information and consultation concerning the development of academic skills and competencies that support high achievement.

The center house various programs and services, including Academic Support and Disability Services, Office of Undergraduate Studies (OUS) Summer Institute, and Undergraduate Research.

One of the center's top priorities is helping students see connections between what they need and what the center offeres. Faculty and staff are critical in helping students make that connection and in providing a pathway to the center and all it offers.  Once that connection is made, students will be able to utilize resources such as:

  • Academic advising, including general and particular advising services
  • Instruction in learning strategies and study skills
  • Time management and organization assistance
  • Professional and peer tutoring (Fall 2009 Tutoring Brochure PDF)
  • Study skills
